    Default Friday Market

The friday market, in Ras Al Khaimah. One of many photos taken for my gcse photography project, which i took on holiday. More to follow, but I took over 1200 in 6 days there, so it will take me a while to sift through. Its kinda a photojournalistic view, in this section at least, looking at work (and lack of) in RAK. Yes, I have many a photo of people sleeping on the job Hahah.

This place was interesting, there were basically 4 stalls, carpets, plants, fruits, and woodwork, except each was replicated to form about a 200m stretch of shops both sides of the road. Infact, later on I walked past two more people in nearly exactly the same pose

Exif data is in the file, if you use firefox with exif viewer or whatever, but its K100D with 18-55 Kit.

Location was here roughly. I think, I'm not too sure, my parents were driving.

I looked around for some pentax gear, but I didnt find any stores while I was there (I didnt hunt for specific photography shops or anything, I shouldve researched before I went). All I could find was canikon and sigma with canikon mounts, but the prices were about 50% of here

It's a shame it wasn't a different time of day. I love this shot and I think with the mountains in the BG it's amazing. However the shadows on the booths really kill a lot of it for me. There are so many vibrant colors with the fruit, flags and balloons, it really sucks to have them darkened in the shade.

Pretty cool though I wanna see more.
I wanna hear more about this gcse photography project

PRG, you shouldve seen it before I edited a bit, dark shadows :|
This is probably the most edited photo thats gonna be in the project, I wana keep it natural and straight outa camera kinda.

Its just a project on the area I visited, focussing on people working (and in a few cases, not working )
then there are subsections in it on certain objects
photographs of gas stations (inspired by Ed Ruscha)
photographs of satellites (there was a large abundance, even wooden shacks with no roof, had a satellite stuck on the wall, if not three XD)
photographs of electricity pylons ( again, alot. Also, running very close to houses and roads, unlike here in the uk).

    Yeahhh
    thats bout it
