I live in Holland and I've never even tried smoking... xD
But if you wanna, there are some good spots for that. :P
Anyways, you should visit 'De dam' (the dam) and take some pics I guess, will be nice to show to your friends. ^^
Also, have a look at the 'grachtenpanden' (houses along the riverlike thingies, no idea what you call them :P) because they are pretty unique and tipical for Amsterdam.
