In Photoshop CS when I click save as the only choices are Photoshop, Cineon, Photoshop PDF, Photoshop Raw, PNG, TIFF.

How do you save as .jpg or .bmp?

Oh and when I want to go to imageready it says please change to 8 bit, how do I do that in the program?

On the top menu, you can choose your mode. Just take a look and as they said convert it.
