Follow the crowd isn't exactly the best advice you could give him. 1 pixel black borders on everything are boring. Just following tutorials is mindless...

Exactly, as you grow and learn PS better.. you go off from tutorials.. and start creating doing this the way you want to.

Tutorials are great for learning the tools of the trade

Btw, not a half bad sig.. you'll get there ^^
