I say try Guild Wars or if you can get a back copy of the Holiday 2004 PC Gamer it comes with a *FULL* version of Star Wars Galaxies which is a ton of fun. If you really want this and cannot get a back copy... PM me and maybe I'll make a deal.

Alright as I mentioned the free version of Stars Wars Galaxies came with an old PC Gamer magazine but I have even better news for the guy who started this thread. In the current issue of PC Gamer you get a 14-day free trial of World of Warcraft! Try it out and see if you like it.
