Got Hacked

The forum i am moderator on is hacked,
In the begin only the admin was hacked, but then he deleted all members and stuff..

So we are hacked..

This message is ment for ppl that can help us..

Close the forum if you still can, make it inaccesible for other pcs, and try saving as much as you can by reverting to a backup (ask your hosting comp. some make a back-up everyday)

And check if you can find the IP-address of the hacker using the site-stats.

Btw. Which forum software do yo use?

its been hacked twice now :'(
He delete the roots so backup is gone
We use IP 2.0.4

Do you host it yourself or by a company?
Company should at least have the access logs of your site, try to identify him and block him.

If you host it yourself there is nothing left then reinstalling. Maybe you can try a recovery software, maybe you still can recover the forum database.

I dunno what the latest IPB is but be sure to install the latest.

It will try to recover files deleted from the harddrive you still need some luck though
