When i was taught how to make sigs, it was taught to use a rendering black and white cloud filter as the background and brushing on that, each later alternating between white and black, al brushing layers set on overlay and to add colour to the brushing i would use colour balanaces.
On this site you seem to have a black backgroudn and brush on that, also your brushign colours sometimes arn't just black and white but have other colours such as red, blue, etc.
Do you know which way is more effective?
-
It doesn't really matter which one you use though I prefer using black background and brush on that. It's actually your choice whether you want to use the filter or just brush on black background.
-
Mmm yeah but i want to know what kind of background would be burshing would be better.
Also how do you guyss get colour in your sig and how do you blend?
-
A black or white bg works fine..
Colours.. You can either brush with colours or play with the saturation/hue/lightness..(ctrl + u btw).. or just colour balance..
-
Whic hway do you think is the most effective?
-
why do you have to have a definate way, why do you rely on tuts (which 9 times out of 10 are exactly the same)
why cant you experiment, why cant you figure things out on your own. its just a sig.
if you want tuts soooooo bad just browse deviantarts tut section, like 10 new sig tuts a day <_<

Lol... i like your answer. Yeah experiment but where to begin
Right now i'm trying to get my lighting, blending etc right not so much the brushing
-
I usually just mix them up..

Goto
Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Color Balance
and do a Curves
and a Brightness/Contrast
Will add color + lighting + depth
-
i havent brushed in ages lol...
anyway, i always would use a clouds filter back when i did, but its really up to you. experiment, find what you like more and go with that
