Thread: Hello.

  1. #1

    Default Hello.

I'm dropping by out of boredom, but rest assured, I'll probably leave soon.

    Does Metal still visit/run CX?

Hi, welcome to CX! Or, welcome back... sounds like you have been here before.

I believe Metal does visit from time to time, but he no longer owns/runs CX.

    Do you?

By the way, at one time back in 2004/05ish I visited here under the name of "Hostility". I do recall joining a week or two after C-X's launch. I think the site has been rebooted (perhaps more than once) since then. I also visited as Tim.Leary about 6-12 months ago, but I got banned by makaveli for reasons that I can't remember.

Ah! That's who you are, Tim.Leary.

If you remember me, I went under the name "octane" a while back, before changing it to "nyhl" and eventually "firetap" on GFXdugout and devART. I've been on staff here for quite a while and at one time was an admin, so I figured you might know who I was.

Anyway, welcome, and please stay man! This site has quite a large future ahead of it.

Yes. Metal sold CX, the guy who bought it, I think it was MTB, resold it approx several weeks later to Allan who owned CX for maybe 5 months. I became new owner back in September '06. I publish a bunch of forum communities, 9 currently, as well as other websites. In terms of activity CX is probably #3 out of the 9, at the moment.

I can help you guys merge your various accounts if you want. Just let me know. Everything would be in one account with whatever username you prefer.

Thanks man... You seem pretty cool. And from what I'm seeing here, this place has changed a lot since the menstrual drama-fest it once was... I might even stay around this time.

Also, I'll pass on the account fusion thing. I really appreciate it, but it's nice to shed a new skin, either way.

I vaguely remember an Octane. I suppose the fact that I don't clearly remember you is a good thing, because usually the only people I can remember from long-old graphic design forums are annoying pricks.

You're welcome & thanks. Drama-fest? Nah, I see plenty of that elsewhere... CX definitely doesn't need to be any type of drama-fest, especially a menstrual drama-fest that would be bad for sure. As far as I know, we're all here I'm glad you might be staying around this time.

It used to be full of prepubescent drama... Metal was a good admin, but he chose moderators because they were his "e-friends" not because of their ability. Thus, this forum wasn't effectively moderated.

Yeah, I think I left this site a while ago for similar reasons. I hated the moderation and chaos that was here or something like that. Anyways, this is the new Climb-X, and rest assured, I think it will be a bright future. Stick around and stay active, we could use some new faces.
