Known about it for a while now. Awesome site. I heard they were having some legality issues though?
-
Yeah, it's only available in the US.. shame..
We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for most listeners located outside of the U.S.

yeh well im listening 2 it and im not in the US so.... anyway point is it rocks!
-
Ive known about this for a while, its a great site. but it kinda sucks cause they just recently started to restrict people who arent from the US.
In fact.. they just restricted Canada today.
But im not sure if all countries are by now, they probably are.
but theres always a way to get around it.

That seems like a very cool site. I've never seen it before, but am listening right now.
That's too bad about the licensing issues. They should be able to license the music and be able to play it on their website for anyone. It's not Pandora restricting listeners, it's the owners of the music -- the owners probably want to charge Pandora multiple times for each song licensed.
Imagine buying a car and they tell you that you will have to pay the full purchase price again, if you drive it out of your local area. Then you have to pay another time if you drive it somewhere else. Etc, etc, etc.
As with Pandora, they pay a broadcasting license for the music... then another broadcasting license and another and another and another, etc, etc. How many "broadcasting" licenses does Pandora have to pay in order to let anyone in the world listen? 193? I think that is the number of countries in the world at the moment.

yup it sucks, great site tho.

Yeah that would be quite a lot of licenses to buy, but they said they're trying their hardest to for it to be available for some other countries, I really hope Canada gets in.
But there's a way to hide you're IP address with firefox so you can access pandora. but i havent really tried to find out more about it

or just go via a proxy server...
