To me it looks like a nice background to a sprite for some reason (probably because of the flow) Anyway..v1 > v2..sorry but i don't like the txt on v2.

Erm yeah, maybe try adding a few vector shapes suiting the flow, maybe even add a sprite..but just try the vector thing if you've got time for a interesting style
