C4d is a program called cinema 4d stated above.

It renders 3d graphics and is often used to create effects for signatures and LP's.
TBH i would get used to photoshop before trying to learn c4d, unless you are really set on making 3d graphics.

For now it'd probabaly be best just to use the free resources on deviantart and here, both places have multiple c4d's.
