I like the effect that you are trying to achieve. The energy give the image an intense speed feel to it.
I do think that there can be some improvements.
The energy could have a bit more of a shape to it. Try to make it follow the shape of the car like the wind.
Also, see if you can spin the wheels with a blur to give it a look of speed.

But IMO the effects are placed on the wrong side. instead of making the effects flow with the car (i.e. to look like the road is burning due to the cars tires) they are erupting in frnt of the car.

and make those effects behind both the visible tires. That way it will look more cool.
