lol he's right i looked at the sig then went to look at comments and didnt even notice the text. Left side needs more and it overall just needs more colour cos its monotone atm. I like the arrow clipping mask though. Tutorials are definitly the step forward for u.

Use the tutorials.. And if you wanna freestyle more i would say do it then.. Atleast that way your getting a nice product but your adding a bit of your style to it.. As long as you dont overdo it..

Tips:
Don't put render on one side, try place it on middle , so other part of signature is not empty, like its here.
U need Try do something with colours, this ones dont work at all, and renders colour is way to bright.
Left side empty. But i like the cliping mask of the render
and te style U have , but please work on colours

That'll be because hes blue and has a white front and mouth where as the in this he is completely blue. To freestyle u first need to know more about what your doing, develop techniques and also develop knowledge. The only way to do that effectivly is to do tuts and change stuff to ur liking. If you blunder around, sure u'll get there eventually but its gunna take 3x as long.
