I love this piece, using a tutorial or not. I love the effects and the splattering, clipping mask looks cools and I just think the general feel to the tag is nice. Although I would suggest one thing, see it works.
Make a new layer, apply image and then add a black to white gradient map on soft light and set it on about 20% opacity. It's a bit too bright. But one of your best. Keep it up!

version 2

Bit too dark. Did you do my suggestion? If so, make the opacity lower or experiment with different layer types.

version 3 lol

That's just about right! Nice work Sparry. Keep it up.

looks great. i love love love the way you made the foreground bleed into the background, its a new fx i havent really seen before, something to replace blurring. the blue kindof clashes with the purpleish colour you've got going on, and its a little to bright for the foreground. have you ever tried taking a picture of someone where the background is brighter than the person? the person is overlooked, and unfocused, while the background is too bright. same thing happens when you're doing photoshop stuff, your eyes get pulled to the brighter things, naturally, and with the purple and black against the blue and white your focus gets lost.
i love the lines of light, and like i said earlier, the bleeding fx looks so cool!

Sparry want to collab with me sometime?
You don't have to if you don't want to.
