Need help making an animated or non-animated avatar/signature?

Hi! I am wondering how do i make an animated Avatar and Signature?

If anyone would be willing to help me and have patience with me :P LOL it would really be much appreciated and u all have my gratitude and thank you's for helping me lol

lol i heard that animation is tricky and hard but that makes me wanna do it even more LOL

Well to me it is tricky Because you have to unhide layer or something lol And the timing...
Just all confuses me

i had actually followed a youtube video and tried to follow it the best way i could although it was very hard to see LOL

for dead simple animations - use Animation Shop in Paint Shop Pro. If you have an idea about what you like - i can try to help. There are so many programs out there for anmation work - but PSP is a good place to start.
