i think the lighting and shadows need a ton of work. its a good start, but not done

i'm trying to keep it simple, partially cause thats kinda my style, partially cause i'm still learning about lighting and such...
i need a little guidance when it comes to lighting, i understand the whole concept i just dont know how to manipulate a brush to get the texture i want. its something i hope to learn with an art class i plan on taking next year. (something i havent done in two years...)
