Is there a way in PS to make it so that when i try and use filters it DOESNT go to the "Filter Gallery"?

yeah, it takes up alot of my precious CPU memory, and it really slows shit down.

I just hate it, so i dont use many filters any more... and im probably better because of it.

I believe that only happens in elements, are you using photoshop elements?

no, it happens in CS, and I presume CS 2. Only some of them go to the gallery though I presume adobe think everyone who has CS 2 can afford the memory to run it, considering the price of memory when compared to the price of CS.
