ok, my mate wants a vector made, was just wondering if you guys know how to go about making one?
(it is for a HL2 mod he is making)

TAFE? and i might be able to vector it. But vectoring isnt an easy service to find. I'll see if i have time.

My mate said if you could do it, it would be cool . And are there any tutorials on vecting, I wanna learn more about this sort of stuff...

well, its basically using the pen tool
you take a picture (for exmple a shaded sphere) then you would take each section, and insted of making it blend you make it blockish kinda... like the game XIII etc - like cell shading
