Hey guys,
finaly got time to do something for the front entrance. I was also held up because I had to wait to get imageready as part of Photoshop (my previous version had screwed up and I couldn't be bothered trying to reinstall everything).
So here it tis:
MetalSkin.com Front Entrance
It's taken me a fair few hours to do it, PS:CS doesn't have good vector handling and so I had to figure out how to do a lot of the crap. I'm thinking I need to get that vector handling one from Adobe but not sure about the money.
C&C please.

it would look better with more shades of blue (im tha blue master) and it shouldnt take long, image mapping doesnt take that long either (with dw)

image mapping asnt, you gota find all the co-ords
im crap at html anyay so...
-
When I first drew it, I only did three circles and then added detail. As such I went with three shades, if you follow the paths you will see that there are only three seperate objects. If I did any other colours then I would have to blend which I was trying to avoid.
I'm not 100% certain I like it... seems i donno... still gonna tweak it I reckon.
But as a front door to allow selection of different versions of my web site, what do you guys reckon?

Well, I have a few things I dislike about it. First off, the numbers aronud the sides look horrible, and very misplaced. They dont really go with the 'high-tech' of the image itself. Also, the color of the image is really a mundane color of blue.
I think it may look better on a black background? Possibly centered on the page?
-
yeah, I'll try black tonight.
Hmm... the numbers I messed around with trying to get right. Tried using warp and so forth to do em properly but just couldn't find a way to make em work. Even tried a whole heap of fonts. Any suggestions on how to make em look good?
How would you suggest improving the blue?
