How do people do the lightning and fire effect on there sigs i can never do it :/

theres tones of diffrent ways to do it one way is mess with coloring and settings
i could probably make u a small tut on that ?> but i think one these pro's will get u straighten out right away sry i couldn't give u exact settings right off. but thats how i do it take a cd4 use the liquid tool or somtimes just the ripple filter . make 4 layers of same thing and mess with coloring and settings . color and color dodge gl i hope i ws of some help if not sry again i tried :P

for lightning i use renders or stocks that have lightning on them. I just erase the parts i dont need and keep the goods ones. I also add a soft brush layer to make it pop.

To make lighting I have to ways:

1. Using the dodge and burn tool to make the whole sig have the same lighting, including render.

2. Filter>> Render > > Lighting
Mess with the settings, if you are using Cs2 you can take an default setting named 2 o clock lighting if I'm not mistaken. that one it pretty good.


remember, I did this from my head and didn't think everything through. What did you mean with fire btw?

I use stocks for my fire effects. Usually I set them to screen or ligten, then u use soft brushed to add some colour. It just gives you some of those realistic flecks of flames.
