Hmm. Try adding more depth to your picture. You want to have a foreground, middleground, and background in all your pictures. It's a lot like sig making. The basic elements of art can be applied to ALL forms of art. When I say foreground, middleground, and background, this is kinda what I mean...

Granted, we don't all have such interesting subjects to take pictures of but you can see that the stones make a great foreground, the water makes a great middleground, and the hills make a great background. Give something similar a try. Good luck.
