in regards to photoshop, a vector is a shape that will retain its quality no matter how big or small it is resized (as opposed to a rasterized image which gets noticable pixelated when you oversize it). vectors can be made using the pen tool or any of the shapes tools. vector art is usually defined by crisp, clean cut colors.

i do a lot of my work in the style of vector art. i can&#39;t actually call it vector art cuz db will yell at me and say that i shouldn&#39;t use shading... <_<

anyways you can refer to the tutorial in my sig for a pretty decent introduction to vectors.
