After seeing Smel's black Hitler post, I remembered this:
Has anyone ever heard of Pol Pot? In Cambodia, he and his communist Khmer Rouge party overthrew the Cambodian government and took control and revolutionized (in a bad way) Cambodia. He forced everybody in all cities to leave and work in rice field for 18+ hours a day. Families were seperated, most children went to work at either labor camps or child soldier training camps. Pol Pot's genocidal regime murder over 2 million people, a third of Cambodia's population. They killed all educated people, anybody who owned a watch or glasses, andbody that worked for the former government. They claimed they were going back to the beginning, starting over anew. They also planted millions of landmines, which are still active today. This lasted from 1975 to 1979. It was almost worst than the Holocaust.
Has anybody even heard of this? They kept it so much under wraps, nobody in the entire world knew what they were up to. We all just assumed they were still having the civil war.
Discuss.

Can't say that I remember the name, nor his communist party.
Hmm, but I'm sure I've heard of this story (it rings a rusted bell in the nook of my hollow head ), although it might've been intertwined with another event as I tend to mix things up and forget the vital elements needed for the actual, full story.
Ah, I gotta brush up on my History . I've got a World History class coming up next school year, along with American History @.@.
I hope I can keep things straight and not knead both subjects into a small wad of mumbo-jumbo only to be thrown out. God forbid.
