It seems like you jumped into something without precautions.
It's a USB keyboard and by installing Windows 7, I should've read a bit more, from XP to 7 was a big jump.

Anyways, I might try to get a different keyboard, but that doesn't seem to me like the real solution. The keyboard should work regardless.

I will try that though.
Also, can you explain a bit more by 'locked'. I'm a bit confused.
How would you unlock it?

The keyboard works after the 'Starting Windows' screen.
