The effects and colors seem a bit odd to me. You have a heavy contrast red/orange and then a light purple, it's throwing off the atmosphere.

Try to pick a more appealing set of colors that gives a more relative atmosphere. Blue, purple, cold colors like that would work with this. Also try to add some speckles/stars from nebula/space stocks to add to that.

The effects overall seem a bit messy to me. The choice of colors would probably contribute to the poor composition.

Colors, my friend. You have the potential, just execute it better.
