Hey guys, please. I didn't ask for a political debate on the makings of a forum signature. I'm talking about the effects and shit on them. I made clear i'm pretty advanced n00b. I'm not entirely amazing. I wanted tutorials and shit to follow. That's all, specific ones you like etc. I can figure out from those tutorials, what other stuff to do. I just need a place to start. Cheers

Heya, a lot of people make heavy use of Cinema 4D renders these days, then there's also vectors, smudge signatures and liquify signatures that are pretty popular. Usually it's a mix of multiple techniques, the main thing that's changed in my opinion since the good old "grunge sig" days is that everyone seems to care about lighting and depth.

That's awesome. Just the thing I need. I do remember those grunge sig days. I thought lighting and depth has been considered in art for years but I guess it's only become a priority in signature designers since ego's got involved on graphics websites and a "high-horse" mentality took over.
Cheers Aether. Also are there any good tutorial sites that you use, or specific tutorials for the techniques that you mentioned.

Sure, I'll link you some in a PM as I don't want to advertise for other sites

Nice one broski. Also, I don't see a problem with advertising other sites to be honest. I do remember there was a big war about it, a long time ago. I think of it as a good referance for ideas. Ideas are meant to be shared otherwise what's the point if only you know about it and NOBODY else does. It doesn't make for good art that.
Also thank you again!

There are two things you could do:
1) Splatter brush+Clipping mask/making it look messy as hell.
or
2) Actually be creative.
