Deviant Art has it's fare share of trolls, and they seem to either dislike tags getting more attention than their "Drawings" or they just like to be jerks. We have a couple, schultz and bogui being a few.

Just flag their messages as spam, and ignore them.

DA is a really great site to create your own personal portfolio, but they really are a bias site when it comes to following their own rules. I personally haven't had problems, but I know of others who have.

I can remember seeing one member had his Daily Deviation stolen and posted under a different profile yet it took them a month to remove it. There is also heaps of Porn as well, not nude photos, but actual full porn, plus I remember finding stuff that wasn't marked as mature and nothing was done about it. KidBuu posted up a tutorial on a sig and he's now blacklisted by DA for art theft when it was his tut and he got all the resources from various sites.

To be honest I wouldn't feed the trolls. Just mark it as spam and ignore it. That's about all the advice I can give you.

I actually had a problem as well with someone and they acted as if they were some kidna Art police !!!

I had found a stock an a "free site" an used it, 10 minutes after I hosted the tag, this bitch posts right in the image section telling me to take it down I was a thief and I would be sued or something retarded.

This was my first day on DA and active so I was mad, upset and worried all the same time xD

I pmed the person back told them I found it very rude that they didn't come to me politely about this issue, that I was a member for a day and they were treating me horribly, that I see myself as an artist, and I would never want to rip anyones art, I informed him/her that I had found the image on a free site and that I will be pming them informing them about him/her and that although they were not the artist themselves who came to me with the rant of thief, that I'm sure they know far more than anyone else and that I will tell this site to seek out her next time they want to go through what is and isn't stealing. I also suggested that instead of chasing after the thieves that maybe she should chase down the "true artis" and get them to put that deviant water mark or w/e it was to protect their art.

I was being sarcastic but they pmed back with apologies and said that she comes across soo many thieves each day and didn't realize how rude she was coming off and that she is trying to save ppls Art and that most times she doesn't get responces back so that's why she was so forceful.

TBH any time you host an image up either a tag or a pic of you and your gandma blowing out b-day candles, someone is potentially going to use/see it. If you value your work so much and are that worried about thieft, you will prolly not host the freaking image.

In the end, rip me for all I care, just don't ever try to pass it off as your own when dealing with me :P

People are going to troll on DA like anywhere else. I get trolled all day long ;D, only difference is I like getting trolled because the things they say amuse me.

The members of dA and its staff are a bunch of trolls. The lot of them.

I've been a member of dA for what? Going on 7 years now. I've had stuff removed for using a stock image from movies, and video games. Hell, I've even had my own tutorials taken down! Yet people who straight up rip are free to continue to rip dispite loads of reports from other members. Most of the time it takes a good while for the ripper to be banned. Yet somehow, within a day of posting my tutorials/wallpapers I get warned and my stuff gets taken down. Just my luck, I suppose.

As for the members, the best you can do is report their spam and go about your business. Some are jerks who think their fanart is the best thing evar, and think graphic design isn't even remotely art. Poo on them, I say.
