The first throwaway tag is awesome, but I would suggest adding a curve/exposure layer to darken some of the area's and bring the lighting out more. the blending is pretty nice. I'm not a fan of the second throwaway wag at all, the green lighting should be a bit brighter and overall the effects are kind of thrown everywhere and have no real flow to them and it's almost like the render is over sharpened and the effects are over blurred. You should only blur some of the effects in the back to add depth.

He probably found a nice stock and added a few clipping masks and effects, nothing special IMO. I like the alien tag, nice work overall kiu.
