I always prefer the colored version.

I do like this and I think the lighting is great. But the lighting you have on the left seems a bit washed out so I'd try to add some color there.
The fractals you used are nice but would be better if they were re-sized more so you can the detail in them.

The effect on the right is pretty cool but in my opinion is a bit too strong. I don't know if that's the render or not though .

I'd also suggest you remove that yellow semi-circular shape you have because it doesn't really suit the tag as a whole.
