Whats going on everyone. Newbie looking to get into some serious HD pictures. mainly stuff like making sigs and just i dunno. im willing to learn anything and everything

god I hate typing in captias lol im not a robot ...well first im going to have to find some good software so i can start making HD magic..any suggestions? im telling you right now Im as new as they get in the photoshop department... i was looking at adobe cs5 and saw the price was like $600. after i regained consciousness i decided i better have a look around at some other ones before i pull the trigger on that one

Well...we can't really talk about softwares here but I would suggest looking into "GIMP" since it is free. The only problem you might have is that our tutorials are for Photoshop only but GIMP and Photoshop are really similar, though I believe DeviantArt has good GIMP tutorials.

What type of field do you want to get into? Making signatures, digital paintings, 3D animations or still pictures, logos and or banners etc?

Yes banners, signatures, CGI, 3d...by the time on done Id like to make something like this or this but not just limited to that. thats where I kind of want to work up to to start off. note: i found those pictures on this website so credit goes to them

Well, those are created with renders and/or stocks (already created characters and cut out) then put in a canvas (clear photoshop layer) and then it was painted and spammed with special effects.

It shouldn't take you too long to learn how to do this, maybe 2-3 weeks. If you want to do some overall art working I would suggest going to YouTube and learning how to use the software of your choosing, then type up "How to make signature tutorials" and learn what is what and what can be done.

For the rest...well, those are a bit more advanced like CGI and 3D modeling. One thing I have to ask though, do you know how to draw and or are skilled/talented? Don't be modest lol

lol no not really. I can draw anime characters but thats about it

Well, that's a start.

Make sure you know what you want to do and then make a topic or send me a private message and I will help you define what you should start looking for and/or practicing.

Remember, you can only learn one thing at a time...and for you to fully get a hold of Photoshop it will take you about 6 months to 1 year.

well i was going to pm you but apparently i dont have those awesome privileges yet but i guess exactly what I want to do it sigs and banners, but not from stuff ive drawn. just taking other pictures and making really vibrant and hi def sigs. sorry for double posting im gonna have to get used to this forum layout. kind of different from the forum site i use
