How come whenever you talk to someone who's into grafic design and ask them about what music they like the answer is almost always Techno or Trance?
Is it because its a trend or do the other designers seek and destroy the designers who don't listen to that kind of music?
I might be writing my last post by saying this... but i dont realy like techno....

I find that to be not true. I find most amateur and beginner designers listen to trance. But I think that the webdesign is more a of spawn of the trance scene and not the other way around. The whole techno thing is very computer geek, so the people that like that sort of crowd will gravitate to the geeky computer things like web design. But if you look at the playlists of professional designers and artists (those that are in their 20's and work for design firms and have college degrees from art schools) you'll find that their musical tastes usually lean more towards the hip-hop or indie rock genres.

well pro designers usually keep to their own kind and because of that i've always been in contact with newbies (like myself i guess if the little label under my nick is correct O,o)... but i sincerely hope that there are alot more "non-indie" designers out there... indie rock is kindof boring...

Whenever I'm on the computer I have music playing..it's almost essential for me to do anything while online. it's kind of a cheap way of multi-tasking I guess. But I don't listen to techno...never have... except for that one song from the Blade soundtrack - Confusion by New Order... but that song is long gone off my computer. Most of what I listen to is indie-rock, punk, ska, and screamo.

I normally listen to metal, but not when I'm designing cause it gets me to hyped up, so I'm in the mood for beating someone's face in rather than sitting there and working on stuff.
