@damien "A rule of thumb with text is to always have it overlapping your focal. Otherwise it either goes unnoticed, or draws the eye away from the intended focal, depending on how noticeable it is."--
ummmb that isnt true... but it is a good idea if u are going to have txt to keep it simple and keep it close... but rules are made to be BROKEN bahahahahahaha

Yes it is. Like in the second sig in your sig area, the focal is the text, because it's not blended and since it's off of the focal, it draws the eye away from the focal. Since the text is bright and sticks out from the rest of the sig, it becomes the focal.

There're aren't any real rules in art. Except color combinations and the rule of thirds.
Text in borders is a great thing in my eyes. Text over the focal too ^^ But even when it is over your focal it can become the focal.
It always can. But there're good tags with tags away from the focal ^^. Especially sprite tags, 'cause people don't want people to crawl into their screen to read their text.
I get your point bro. And it will be of use in many cases, but there're exceptions

tbh... your sprite totally drowns in the effects... when making a sprite tag make shure your sprite comes out!!!
make the effects draw to the sprite........
sorry for my bad english.......
i hope i make sence??
