Maybe you could of enhanced it by using gloss paint, to pick up more of the light from the projector. Also, a projector is a bad light source because it gives a yellow orange glow rather than a bright white.
Don't worry, I know what you mean It looks like yellow-orange in the documentation there because of it being a digital camera, and adjusting the temperature of the photo to suit the projected light would then cast off the light on the walls. The slide is pure white.

I thought about gloss paint, I never tried it out but perhaps its a route to take. The concept of using household paint spawned out of a jaded thought of domesticity, the colours found on walls, furniture disassembled, lights taken out of context.
