it's a nice start and i also like the colors. the background is what kills it for me, i think you should work on that and you're good

That's because he used livetrace/photo and those are usually the standard tones you get.

not bad actually...try adjusting the exposure or somewhat make it brighter and add contrast.

As said the colours are a bit poo, but overall it looks fine. Try to use the pen tool for vectoring things instead of the live trace, you have much more control over that.

Yeah doesn't seem like he actually vectored it fully...by hand...just some automated stuff...not that great at all.

uhm just to clarify im a woman. lol. and idk what this live trace is? If u think it wasnt by hand your wrong. it took me a week. I have the psd file of every layer that I made for this picture. The color choice was my pic. just because I liked them idk. here is the original colors.
