Much better, but still not my kind of thing.
Find the Pen Tool and go nuts, try to do the logo without the text and also limit yourself to one colour and post up the results!
*Hint* Also try doing it in white on a black background, should let you get more of what your doing and it looks badass.

For a logo the font would look better solid and not with gaps in it.
