I think you deff have the right approach when it comes to blending your focal in with your bg, which I feel a lot of smudgers tend to not do so well...

My biggest suggestion here is your lighting, there really is no real light source here... Try and pick an angel and try to make it pop out more using your shadows/lighting..

This tag would deff benefit from incorping some black in here, after all she already allows you to use black with her because of here gas mask and hat/suspenders, so run with it
