    I wanted to have a try at some vector work, so heres what i came up with...

    lol, looks a lot like a wallpaper i did a little while ago: http://forums.gfxvoid.com/t-6956.htm although you did the tree trunk much better. looks pretty good overall. i like how the top of the tree reaches outside the border, however there are other parts that should stay within the border such as the outer glow on the sun.

    B][G K, thanks for pointing that out, i didnt realise the outer glow was going outside the border. And yeh i was inspired by the wallpaper you did nice peace btw

    I've been trying to get the hang of the tool for a while now, quite a tricky tool to master but i think im doing alright with it.

    When you use effects like gradiance and crap, it isn't a vector at heart anymore.

    It's ok, I'd make some of the coconuts hidden behind the palm 'leaves' to make it more realistic.

    that reminds me that it's been ages since i've made a flash movie :lol:

    i hate gradients to simulate shading, but it's a good effort you made.

    Looks real smooth man...good job. I like the colors and the shading was a good attempt...nice job.

    take out the glow on the sun, and it'll look kickass ^^ it looks great now, but the glow on the sun looks weird. and the glow on the text should be taken out, then it's just all.... awesome ^^
