Beats By Dr. Dre | To buy or not to buy

I don't get how people keep saying that Beats are overpriced. They are pretty sturdy, sound great and have a balanced out bass. Not to mention that if you have HD audio on your PC/MP3 they sound fucking amazing. My suggestion, if you have the money buy them.

If it's an investment that will hurt your pockets then don't buy them, there are some GREAT replacements for less money. However, I don't dare say better unless the price tag goes up.

For the price range he's looking for I wouldn't recomend solos... However if he's willing to spend more and pay for looks then hell yeah get some studios. I mean, I don't think they sound that much better than my XB500's, but that's for my needs. I just mainly have problems with solos, because they sound like the audio cord was made outta fucking wood.

I don't see why y'all are having an argument over who has the biggest cock. Who gives a shit about how many headphones you own, or if you make music. All I know is I love music and for my needs and price range XB500's are perfect. I love them, and it looks like hes kinda looking for the things I think they're good for (aka in his price range, and sick-ass sounding bass) So that's what I'm gonna recommend. Not gonna fight with y'all over which headphones are better.

It's not so much about the quality of audio it's usage is the real question, I have studios and I use them a couple hours a day on the bus and they are fucking awesome, the bass and everything is sweet,

Well Im personally not doubting the beats 'quality' and they do look nice yes, but they are terrible for the price tag. There are so many alternatives out there that will walk all over the beats.

I own 2 pairs of Beats Studios and 1 pair of Beats tours.



and I haven't even mentioned how many pairs of Skull Candy and Sony's I have that just cannot be compared to Beats. Quality is expensive, I have well over $1,200 in headphones so I warn people NOT to waste the money and just stick to 1 great pair.

Well, I can only speak for myself so here's why I prefer Beats.

I listen to a crapton of music, videos and games in HD on my computer. I sit in front of my monitor for hours after hours and after awhile that "just a bit more muffled than Beats" noise starts giving you a headache, while Beats are clear all day long. You really pay for great quality and duration, others are great replacements and have better seals for bass leak but they don't even out the distribution of vocals to bass.

Just my take on it but I always recommend and tell people to NOT buy Beats if it'll be something that breaks your pockets, but buy them if you have the cash and the necessity.

How many 'alternatives' do you own that has made you come to that conclusion? Listening to a pair of headphones in stores? YouTube reviews? What people tell you?

I own about 10 different pairs of headphones and know a few people who own beats of-which I borrow every now and then. I also own a pair of ridiculously expensive studio monitors which have possibly the cleanest sound you will ever hear. Please keep your patronising to yourself this time.

10 decent pairs of headphones that half of which I can't even remember the name of because I haven't used them in freaking ages. V700DJ and XB300 are the two pairs I do use frequently.
The monitors are the Genelec 8030a's x2.

They sound great..

I've been thinking about buying a pair, for my computer I've always used steelseries siberias but on the road I've gone with in-ear plugs from sony, logitech, sennheiser etc. My laptop has beats audio though, not sure what that adds other then it being ridiculously loud when using earplugs/headphones.
