I hope it's more like 2 years. He has got to get the fk out. Now. He killed the watchability of NBA basketball when he created that stupid rule that criticizing referees will get you a fine handed down by the league. And the harsher the criticism, the bigger the fine. That's like telling female employees of a corporation, "hey...any sexual harassment complaints legitimate or otherwise, will result in pay docking." What a fascist stance.

i can still watch basketball. but not how i used to
i use gimp and paint.net

Yeah. And by the way, his league, the NBA? Currently owns the New Orleans Hornets basketball team. Who this Summer got the number 1 pick in the NBA draft. Which should've went to Charlotte since they had the overall worst record of the 2011-2012 season. Coincidence?

I'm not sure how much proof I have on this, but I'm pretty sure the NBA is fixed. You do realize that Miami is pretty much the best team for ratings right? Last season's finals were the highest rated of all time. It's become a soap opera instead of a sport.
As someone who played basketball I simply can't watch the NBA. It's a travel on every play lol.
Give me fútbol Americano or baseball any day of the week.

Stern USED to own the Hornets last season but it was bought over towards the end. They won't have a bad team this year. Plus the draft is all luck it can't be fixed as it's a lottery system.

But everything for NO to get pick #1 was set in motion before the new ownership group stepped in. Plus, the draft cannot be fixed? This accusation was made many years ago when the Knicks drafted Patrick Ewing. The accusation was one of the envelopes was frozen on purpose to get Ewing to fall to the Knicks. You also have to understand the draft order is set inside a private quarters. Where players, coaches, nor viewers can see what is happening. Now is the NBA rank with corruption ala the Sicilian Mafia sort of overtones? Probably not. But there definitely is a concerted effort by the refs in certain situations to make sure things "fall" a certain way. And to do this, you need to keep criticism of referees and refereeing to a minimum. Hence the implementing of the "fine for complaining" rule.

I agree with your points on the referees but NO did have a huge chance on getting the first regardless. Your arguments are valid though. I guess we can't really tell if we're not inside the NBA.
