Greetings All!
Greetings all, I am Galadín Nimcelithil. I came across this forum just today whilst looking for some inspiration for making a requested prize signature for a member on another gaming forum I frequent (that was far too many 'for's for one sentence XD). I have never seen nor heard of GFXVoid before and I admit to being a bit nervous about joining since my graphics skills are still quite undeveloped.
I have been doing digital art for almost a year and a half now and the journey has been one full of sleepless nights and of hours agonising over text placement. My interest in digital art started when I joined a gaming forum (called Dissidia Forums) on the 5th August 2011. By chance there are a lot of people who frequented Dissidia Forums who are also interested in graphic art and I, being the immpressionable soul that I am, was quite taken by their works and wanted 'to make those signature-thingies too'! I didn't start making graphics until October of 2011 because I was clueless in how the whole photomanipulation thing worked, so I had a lot of research to do first. To cut a long and tedious story short, I downloaded GIMP 2.6 and read and watched copious of tutorials after which I started into image manipulation and have been completing requests for members of Dissidia Forums ever since. This Christmas however, I was the happy recipient of a Bamboo tablet which has enabled me to turn a lot of my traditional art sketches to digital drawings. At present the time I spend on art is divided between digital drawing and image manipulation.
