The Grin is a experiment and first try for me with 3D objects in Illustrator. Rather fun to use when you're not a fan of C4D and still want to do some 3D stuff, and best of all combined with vectors.

The hearts for Illuminate were a part of the scene and I included them to fill blank space, but I see what you mean.

Hehe yeah Blu is a bit messy and hectic, tried out a glamor shot sharpen (bling, blur, smooth) to match the fancy bg and sparkles.

Bats is a quick trace of one of DMN's renders, and standalone it looks like this:
