If a picture is messed up, in the wrong place, not needed (in your opinion), or needed (is a step confusing?) then PM me and I'll fix it asap. Thanks.

I made this up during class... I guess it turned out okay... I wasn't feeling very creative so my result didn't look the greatest, but I know all you talented creative people can turn this into something cool. ^^

    1) Make a new document, 500 by 500.
    2) Color the background black.
    3) Change your foreground color to white.
    4) Alright, so now there should be more brushes than before. Right? Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the brushes list. Click any brush from the Faux Finish Brushes category. (I have downloaded brushes, so I don't know where it starts... but I only used the bottom few Faux Finish brushes.) Select a brush you like... I used the one that is second to last on my list. You may need to change your brush size to something bigger than the set size. I used anywhere from the set size to 300 for this tutorial. You've changed your brush color to white, your size (if you like), and your brush right?

    5) Click randomly on your screen. Switch brushes, change sizes, but don't make your screen too full of white. It should something like this now:

    6) Go to Filter> Blur> Motion Blur, with these settings: Angle: -30, Distance: 75

    7) Now go to Filter> Distort> Polar Coordinates, and check Rectangular to Polar. Press OK.

    8) Now the fun part! Press Ctrl+T to free transform. Right click. When you right click, theres a section that has Scale, Rotate, Skew, Distort, and Perspective right? Choose any of them besides Rotate. transform your picture into something like this: (I used perspective)

    9) When you transformed it, there should be sections that are transparent (in different places than mine.) Just use the paint bucket, and paint them in with black.

    10) Press Shift+Ctrl+N to make a new layer. Set the blending mode to lighten.

    11) It looks empty now, right? Repeat steps 2-9 on the new layer you made! Click on different places on your screen, use different sizes, you know.... just be creative! And of course, transform it differently. Sometimes, all the white swirls stick to the same area (generally) so you may need to rotate the layer. I only repeated it twice, so mine looks like crap:

But yours will look much better! Hope you liked this tutorial... Did I forget anything? >< Oh. If you want, you can Polar Coordinate the layer a second time. I didn't try distorting it afterwards, but Polar Coordinating again should turn out okay. Also, like my Chrome Swirl tutorial, after you colorize it and all that stuff, you can mess with the lighting effects, and if some layers have Omni, they stand out. .... anyhoo. Have fun!

P.S. omg I didn't go over the picture limit! Thats crazy... I must be missing some pictures! How to make this more informative... o___O;; *hmm*

Oh and, if you're a guest and you liked this tutorial, join the forums! And post your result here of course ^^

Check out my Icy Pinwheel, Melting Walls, Feathery Fire, and Chrome Swirl tutorial too!

This tutorial was made by me (while I was bored during class.) Please don't copy it... Thanks ^^

Yeah... the end result looks like crap, but this is a tutorial that you could just modify basically. Add a step, change something, and I'm sure you could turn out with something awesome. Just do your own thing. ^^

Wheee I love filters! ^^ Even though filters are sooo noob or whatever. .... Muahahaha. I'm glad you like it... Right now I'm figuring out how to make them into brushes. I made it into a brush, but when I try to brush something it doesn't show up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong... I'll have to figure it out today ^^
