LEAP
a poem by Cody Hendrick (me)

Don’t take the bridge over the canyon
The one that’s so feared
It’s torn and broken down
Hasn’t been used for years
I know its dangers
Because I have walked that path
And leaped from the bridge
Thinking those seconds were my last
Then happened the impossible
What I never thought could be
She was their for me to hold
And awake me from my dream
Take a lesson from me
Even thoughts of suicide
Through drops of blood to giant leaps
Can be as deadly as cyanide
Sometimes you find out to late
That you had happiness
In that one special person
Because you focused on sadness

Thats my newest poem, if you'd like you can read all of my older stuff.
