Aussie Kush (Banned for Ripping)

I'm just mentioning that Aussie Kush has been banned for Ripping on both this forum and another forum.

It was bought to our attention through a random PM that we should check out a thread on another site in which he had an argument with the both the accuser and the site owner.

Now it's a bit hard to see how this is a Rip, but this is what we call a Resources rip. These signatures were handed out to our knowledge as PSD files and you can see, especially with the animated one that several parts of the signature are in the Exact same location, notably the background wallpaper and the "!" symbol down on the bottom left corner as well as various lines and effects.

To stress out to any people not sure about their artworks, Ripping is when you design something that is not completely your own creation. I have a whole FAQ here if you need any more information.

PSDs are an educational tool. Just because they are given out for free does not mean you have earned the owner's permission to call it your own creation, even if you change things like names and borders.

Thats a shame, its bound to happen though when psds are given, some people just have to push it though despite saying "learning rights only".

So is he permed? I did realize his change drastically in between the sigs but I thought it to be hard work and such and let slip my mind. I do believe it was JIC who first pointed it out about his sigs looking really similar to another's. (can't exactly remember)

But that sucks. He'll learn after this, hopefully.

What just gets annoying is that all this could have been avoided. I've seen many rippers and have had to ban a few. Some of them have been good artist, but they are out to get a quick rep.

No one really cares if you don't start off perfect. I've seen some people go from terrible to amazing all because they've put in the hard effort, not taken a shortcut. Everyone has to start somewhere.

However with all that said, people still do it and we tell them time and time again that Rippers WILL BE BANNED.

I guess the rest of you guys should take this as a reminder of what not to do and what could happen if you're caught.
