Well I didn't follow EVERYTHING in your tutorial but I did use a bit. My outcome was not as dark as yours and I didn't go with any C4d. This is actually my 3rd signature ever so criticism is a PLEASE!

You need to blend you render better on both the sigs other than that its not a bad start. text could use some imptovement

I made an attempt but I can't seem to do it that well. I tried both the brush and marque blends >.<

Just to let you know on the tut when you say to add a photo filter it says this:

"Now its time for a Photo Filter Here is my settings. Find that were you found The Gradient Maps."

It's just a bit of a head scratcher, at first I thought it was chopped up english meant to mean something to do with the gradient maps color. But then i realized you meant "where" instead of "were"

Working on outcome right now :D

I ran into kind of a Snag on this one. Um.... When i go to the brush presets window, the scattering section is blocked off. I can't get to it. It's like greyed out. How do I fix this? I Don't want to have this new sig messed up because of it.

^ is it just 'scatter' blocked off or is it that entire section? you need to have the brush tool selected before you can access the entire section. if it's just the scatter section that's blocked off, maybe it's the brush you have selected, but i can't be sure of that. if none of this helped you, post a screenshot and i may be able to figure out your problem.

It's not the brush. That's what I thought at first. But I've clicked on every single brush. So... Here's a screenshot:

what version of photoshop?

and are you on the smudge tool or the brush tool? scattering with the smudge tool is a new feature in CS and later versions. it's not available in photoshop 7 or earlier, if you're using any of those.

if that's your situation, then i suggesting trying out the clone tool (which should allow scatter) instead. you should be able to get a comparable result.

Well, whatever, I'll just move on to another tut now then.

Uhh, i tried. :o to be honest, it's my second sig i've made, (my first is my current one) and i couldn't follow some of the steps beause my knowledge of PS is so minimal, but great tutorial, it'd be easy for me to follow if i knew more about PS. ;)

The render could use some more blending and light source could be better. Colors are very monotone. thx for trying

Well the smugde is hard to point out cuz the bg is so yellow. You were supposed to find a color that matches but dont take one from render there is the same. (sounded weird i know) Also the text keep it simple you have the text to be your second focus point:)

I Love sig making one of my hobbies your tuts are awsome and ez to follow BUT The ONLY issue i have with sig making is smudging.... i dont understand it! In no tut does anybody explain what brush their using when they do so and thats when i get lost and my WIP looks like a piece of crap.... can you atleast point out what brush you use and what other people mainly use?

Well in this case i thought it was obvius what brush i used this time, and the reason why ppl dont say that is to get ppl to try out different things so that they can be better. In this case its obvius that i used just a normal round hard brush

and mainly ppl use some kewl fuzzy brush like chalk and spatter.

Great tut, I tried this after you suggestion of trying some of your tuts :)

I think I missed an important step because my sig really does not have much life lol. Also, my text plain sucks, anyone know a good place to get cool text or know of any text effects? Anyway, here is what I came up with lol
