^mallcore is a slang term created to describe nu-metal, which is probably the most hated genre of metal ever.
I used to like it. Not so much anymore.

Damn people categorise metal too much. With no other genre are there 600 sub genres, with 600 sub genres for each of those sub genres.. and 600 sub genres for each of those sub genres sub genres... etc etc.. :p you get my point, even if it is a little exadurated.

Its probably because metal fans are most devoted to their genre, and most passionate about the music they listen to... sure you could find 600 sub genres from like disco or pop or indie or something if the fans took the time to think about the music enough. And yes PE is definately right... I dont think metallica is even proper metal, but to some its the best metal band ever.
