very nice for 30minutes i think you could do better but thats obviously when you spend hours on it, still better than what i would do if i get a tablet
We obviously know you can do much better, but again it's your warm up and it's awesome for 30 minutes :D!
Your detail on the skin and eyes is always amazing, they look almost real. Fancy =D
Thanks, take both comments as compliments. :D
Thanks mate, been trying to distance myself from realism for a bit, but I always end up right back there. :)
I'm going to try and make a conscious effort to in the future, I want to expand, lol.
Lol, nah, I just enjoy seeing the brush strokes in paintings, would still have a sense of realism just would feel more painterly; I may have been mistaken in that regard in my last post, I don't want to abandon it altogether.
I've also been attempting to paint more in a Pixar style, but I haven't been able to really get anywhere with it yet. I'm about half way through one of my paintings in which I've been looking forward to posting for forever, but it has been taking me longer than forever to finish it seems. :]
Thanks again mate.
indeed nice work for it being only 30 min kiu man
Ahh okies. I thought you meant you wanted to do more like modern art style stuff which is ick!
I think I saw your first character for the pixar thing, which was woody, and at first I thought you had just rendered him out of a picture from the movie. So I'd say you've gotten somewhere with it =)
That was my cousin, Kodey, honest mistake, we do have somewhat similar styles when it comes to painting, but I do agree that his Woody painting is amazing.
The painting I'm working on is sort of in the Pixar style, but is inspired by Studio Ghibli films, should have it done in a few weeks.
Also, I agree about modern, contemporary art, I think it is ick-ish as well. :]
