Ahh okies. I thought you meant you wanted to do more like modern art style stuff which is ick!
I think I saw your first character for the pixar thing, which was woody, and at first I thought you had just rendered him out of a picture from the movie. So I'd say you've gotten somewhere with it =)

That was my cousin, Kodey, honest mistake, we do have somewhat similar styles when it comes to painting, but I do agree that his Woody painting is amazing.
The painting I'm working on is sort of in the Pixar style, but is inspired by Studio Ghibli films, should have it done in a few weeks.
Also, I agree about modern, contemporary art, I think it is ick-ish as well. :]
