sand with few rocks/pebbles would look awesome as welll.

Its coming on nicely. The removal of the extra plants works methinks, but keep the canvas the same size as before

Yeah, way better in color and w/ grass. The rocks do need color, and vary it slightly for each one so it looks more realistic.

Gaah, whyyyyy are people saving them as PNGs?!?!?!? It takes 10 times longer to load than a JPG... It's annoying.

Anyways, it looks good to me. I would have sand, as some people mentioned, instead of grass, but it's a matter of taste. The idea and modelling of the stones feels a bit Maya (not the program, zlol).

i donno for some reason i like the quality of PNG better than JPEG. PNG is clearer (i think from what i have tested lol).

anyways i didnt do sand because adding sand texture to a flat plane will greately reduce its details. what i m trying to say is that sand has particles and its not flat, its rather bumpy. in a detailed view of the picture it will look flat rather than bumpy. making small bumps is harder than making grass lol. and i wanted to add vines ariound the initials (stones) so if it was sand it would look a little weired. i dont think there r any vines that grow in sand lol. and by maya do u mean Mayan culture?

Right now working on the texture for the leaves.

EDIT: i will try adding sand and see if it works.

Yes, the Mayan culture, of course. :P
Maybe as a bump map for sand you could do some noise in Photoshop, on a hi-res document or something. Would give you really small bumps.. But I don't know if it works, I'm no expert. xP
