    You can't remove a track from an mp3. It's like removing a layer from a jpg.

    audition has a feature where it tries to remove the vocals (center channel extractor or something). rabies' comparison to the jpeg was an accurate one though. the feature isn't always the best, sometimes it works perfectly, other times it doesn't work at all (and most of the time somewhere in between). depends on the file.

    Logic pro.. or pro logic. It seems easier then cubase, but i havent used it much really....

    Logic's mac only though, if memory serves.
    Unless apple have released a version for windows? :/

    if you want to make some detailed sounds and shit a good program is sony soundforge and then create and export to something like cubase also a voice changer software

    In other words, try demos 'n' shiz of as many programs as you can get your hands on, then choose the one that you liked best.
